To create a brand identity for the soon-to-be-refurbished Frankies Sports Bar and Grill that reflected its' new positioning as a high-end steak restaurant within Stamford Bridge grounds.
A previously-briefed interior design company were proposing a move toward a more art-deco inspired environment. With this in mind a bespoke wordmark was created that reflected the signature double-keyline of the era, as well as the typography used on sports jerseys of the time.
The layout of the venue deliberately created a 'left for bar, right for restaurant' split, and as such the duality of the mark also reflected the light/dark, day/night, bar/restaurant theme that greeted diners upon entry.
A simple brass and black colour palette was supported with several bespoke patterns inspired by the finishings used within the venue.
